Due to the holidays, trash collection services in De Soto are adjusted, and residents will have an opportunity to dispose of extra household trash at no additional cost during a limited amnesty period.
Holiday Trash Schedule Changes
- Wednesday, December 25: Trash service will be delayed by one day.
- Wednesday, January 1: Trash service will be delayed by one day.
If your regular trash day falls on either holiday, please plan to set your cart out one day later than usual.
Trash Amnesty Week: December 26–31
From December 26 through December 31, residents may place up to 10 additional bags of household trash at the curb on their regularly scheduled trash day at no charge.
This amnesty week is intended to help residents manage extra waste generated during the holiday season.
Please note:
- Extra bags should be securely tied and placed next to your trash cart.
- This applies to regular household trash only (no bulky items or prohibited materials).
